SLC band wins third place in School Jam's national competition

Salt Lake City-based band Harlem Shuffle has won third place in School Jam's national battle-of-the-bands competition.
In addition, singer Sierra Fry of the band won "Best Vocals."
Nearly 200,000 votes were cast online to select the nation’s "Best Teen Band."
Finalists competed for more Than $50,000 in cash and prizes, Including funding for school music programs.
The competition is sponsored by the National Association of Music Merchants.
SchoolJam USA features the best amateur teen bands between the ages of 13 and 19.
If you remember, Harlem Shuffle won the University of Utah's Battle of the Bands in late 2012.
