The San Diego-based indie-rock band Pinback will bring its tour in support of its newest release "Information Retrieved" with special guests Judgement Day, and singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist Rob Crow said in a phone interview that Salt Lake City is "one of my favorite places to play."

The hirsute musician has also worked in projects such as Heavy Vegetable, Physics, Optiganally Yours and Thingy, and returns to work with Pinback every several years.

"There's no excuse for boredom," Crow said.

"I'll be playing until my arms fall off. I want to do this as much as possible."

The reason for being a chef in so many different kitchen is simple, he said.

"I like to work with varied groups of people," he said. "People who challenge me with things I've never thought of ... [There is] no typical way to write a song."
