Eccentric, self-absorbed DJ Josh LeCash is the real-life subject of a 25-minute Slamdance short "Rebel Rebel Rebel" that is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Priceless is an interview LeCash gives to a confused NYC writer and bitter complaints about LeCash's tendency to show up late and then forget to bring the right equipment. Directed by Kyle Schneider and shot on a Canon 5D, it captures what's become Hollywood's most played-out profession. Rumor has it that MTV is interested in developing a series based on it.

From the Slamdance description:

"Rebel Rebel Rebel" follows DJ Josh LeCash as he lurches from one disastrous gig to the next. His lazy, indifferent attitude gains him a reputation as one of the worst DJs on the market. He's so bad…he's the Rebel you can't not love. Despite his ineptitude, LeCash's shows, celebrity traction and popularity continue to soar at a death-defying rate. Josh LeCash became a fixture of Miami's hippest nightclubs before stepping up to the international stage, traveling the world as the official DJ for Katy Perry's tour. He is now one of Hollywood's most sought after celebrity DJs recently spinning parties for Ian Somerhalder, Lindsey Lohan and Adam Levine. "Rebel Rebel Rebel" will be premiering at Slamdance at the Treasure Mountain Inn Friday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 22 at 2:15 p.m. "Rebel Rebel Rebel" Clips:Official Trailer: http://youtu.be/aI7rsNZUa0MKaty Perry Scene: http://youtu.be/d0oYjfp12hg
