The Salt Lake Symphony, conducted by Dr. Robert Baldwin, will perform a concert on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 pm at Libby Gardner Concert Hall on President's Circle on the University of Utah campus.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students.

Tickets are available in advance by calling 801-531-7501 and will be available at the door.The symphony orchestra will welcome many friends to the stage for their November concert. Clarinetist Robert Walzel returns to Salt Lake City for a special engagement.

Walzel was a fixture in the Salt Lake music scene and returns to perform Aaron Copland's Clarinet Concerto. Walzel served as Director of the University of Utah School of Music until moving to University of Kansas to serve as Dean of the School of Music a few years ago.

The program will open with Beethoven's "Egmont Overture." Joining us will be many "extra" musicians: high school students playing side-by-side with our members.

The program will conclude with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.There will be a free pre-concert discussion with Baldwin from 6:15 to 7 p.m. in Room 270, right behind the concert hall.
