Nightlife during General Conference Weekend and beyond

Here are some interesting things to do at night — besides music — around Salt Lake City in the coming week.

Slackwater Pizzeria & Pub

This establishment serves over 130 different beers (including Squatter’s Radio From Hell Red Beer) as well as artisan-style pizzas. FYI, if Squatter’s is reading this, I am open to them creating a beer inspired by my life called Squatter’s Condo From Hell.

When • Open seven days a week; on Fridays and Saturdays, open from 11 to 11

Where • Slackwater Pizzeria & Pub, 1895 Washington Blvd., Ogden

Club 90

One couple will win a once in a lifetime opportunity — to get married before the Carrie Underwood concert at the Maverik Center on Oct. 10. All interested couples will need to join staff from country station 101.5 The Eagle for a bachelor and bachelorette party at Club 90 on Oct. 6. The couple will have a pre-concert wedding officiated by The Eagle’s very own Jon Watkins on a flatbed truck. Classy.

When • Saturday, Oct. 6

Where • Club 90, 150 W. 9065 South, Salt Lake City

Brewvies

The cinema pub airs the latest episode of the FX series "Sons of Anarchy" every Tuesday at 11 p.m. Why so late? Comcast subscribers get the West Coast feed. That’s late even for an outlaw motorcycle club.

When • Tuesdays though Dec. 4, at 11 p.m.

Where • Brewvies, 677 S. 200 West, Salt Lake City

Area 51

Every Thursday at Area 51 nightclub is 80s Night, with ladies free before 10 p.m. It’s getting chilly these days, so be sure to wear your leg warmers with your denim mini-skirts and fingerless gloves.

When • Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m.

Where •Area 51, 451 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City

The Pie Pizzeria

The Pie Pizzeria, at each of its four locations, is serving its Heisenberg’s Oktoberfest Pie this month, loaded with smoked brats, spicy link sausages, caramelized onions, caramelized green apples, mozzarella, cheddar, fresh dill and a sweet Bavarian mustard sauce. What, no spätzle?

When • At The Pie Underground, Fridays and Saturday, open until 3 a.m.

Where • Multiple locations, including The Pie Underground, 1320 E. 200 South, Salt Lake City
