Nightlife notes for Sept. 14 through Sept. 20

The Westerner

For just $10, you can hear country traditionalist Mark Chesnutt, who has charted eight No. 1 country singles. Let’s hope he doesn’t perform one of his signature songs, "It Sure Is Monday," because on a Friday, no one should be reminded that Monday exists. Purchase tickets through SmithsTix.

When •Friday, Sept. 14, at 10 p.m.

Where •The Westerner Dance Hall, Bar & Grill, 3360 S. Redwood Road, West Valley City

Southern X-Posure

The strip club is holding its fourth annual Red Out Party, with all ladies dressed (or undressed?) in Ute gear. All drinks will be served in red Solo cups. All pints and well drinks are $3. What more could you want — except for full nudity, of course.

When • Friday, Sept. 14, noon to 5 a.m.

Where • Southern X-Posure Showclub, 3420 S. State St., South Salt Lake

Devil’s Daughter Bar & Grill

With 12 flat-screens positioned around the watering hole, this is a prime place to watch a football game. The $7.50 steak dinner is available all day on Fridays. Tip: Calling your significant other the devil's daughter can either be a good or bad thing. Choose wisely.

When • Open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Where • Devil’s Daughter Bar & Grill, 533 S. 500 West, Salt Lake City

Oscars Social Club

D.J. Ultrafit — a name also used by Paul Ryan when he goes clubbing — will spin after a day of college football at this south-valley bar. Specials include $3.50 Ute shots and $5 Watermelon Mind Erasers — which could come in handy if the Cougars win. No cover.

When • Saturday, until 1 a.m.

Where • Oscars Social Club, 8136 S. State St., Midvale

Canyon Inn

Voted one of the top 25 ski bars by Ski Magazine, the restaurant and lounge sells beer pitchers for $6 and reportedly serves great Chicago-style pizza. If you partake and are unsatisfied, go online and order a frozen one from Chicago's Lou Malnati's. Trust me.

When • Open seven days a week, 12:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Where • Canyon Inn, 3700 Fort Union Blvd., Salt Lake City
