Song of the Weekend: Jane's Addiction's 'Sympathy for the Devil'

I had a nice talk with Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction this morning so that I can advance his band's performance at Saltair on Aug. 28. Although I generally avoid Saltair at all costs, I believe I might re-think my decision to go check out this band that I loved in high school. I didn't get into them until that time, but once I did, the Jane's Addiction debut (the live self-titled one) was on a constant rotation.
I had always thought that the Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" was one of those songs that couldn't, shouldn't be covered, but I love Perry's high tenor from that first album:
