Theory of a Deadman performs tonight in Utah.

Joey Dandeneau, the drummer of the Canadian hard-rock band, knows exactly what he wants to do once he arrives in Salt Lake City. He will meet up with his brother Dean Dandeneau, the principal of Direct Buy of Salt Lake City, to procure some alcohol. Dean is also the part owner of the popular Ogden-distilled vodka Five Wives. "I’m looking forward to getting some vodka for the tour bus," Joey said. Dandeneau is a frequent visitor to Utah because he and his brother love to snowboard, but this time around he will be touring in support of the band’s fourth album, "The Truth Is …," released last month. The album debuted in the top 10 of Billboard’s all-genre album charts, and the drummer said that’s because the band is appealing to not just its core audience of hard-rock fans but also mainstream fans attracted by the hit singles "Bad Girlfriend" and "Lowlife." Aranda and Charm City Devils are also on the bill.

When • Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Where • In The Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City

Tickets • $17.50 at SmithsTix
