In celebration of the London 2012 Olympics, The Gateway Shopping Center in downtown Salt Lake City is asking its Facebook fans to submit songs that represent the Games’ theme "Inspire a Generation" for its next Olympic Fountain songbook.

The Gateway’s Facebook fans are invited to submit songs for consideration until September 17, and are asked to post song titles and their artists with a short description explaining why the song inspires them.

From those submitted, a narrowed-down list will be posted for voting through September 24 at 5 p.m. MT.

The fountain will be choreographed to the final songs. Those who suggested the winning songs will have their names engraved on bricks to be laid around the Olympic Fountain and awarded with a $100 gift card.
