Anyways, Nirvana's performance of Leadbelly's "In the Pines" at the closing of their great MTV Unplugged special shows what potential was squandered in Mr. Cobain's suicide. The album was released after his death, but I remember watching it the same night it was announced on MTV News that the tragedy had happened. It was a few months before I graduated from high school and entered the Coast Guard Academy. I will always associate high school with Nirvana.
