Ernie Ball's Battle of the Bands is coming to West Valley City.

A lucky group of unsigned bands from each tour market will be chosen by a panel of industry judges to play live on the Ernie Ball Stage at this year's Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival.

The fest will be at Usana Amphitheatre on Sept. 19.

This year’s judges for the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands powered by Imagen Records include:

• Jose Mangin from Sirius XM

• Zacky Vengeance, guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold

• Producer/mixer Jay Baumgardner

• Music industry veteran Bill McGathy.

Finalists will compete for a grand prize, which includes a coveted spot on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, the opportunity to record an EP with Baumgardner at NRG Recording Studios in Hollywood,, and $10,000 worth of music gear and other prizes.
