Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard to release debut solo record

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard is set to release his debut solo record in fall of 2012.
"Former Lives" will be released October 16.
The 12 tracks were reportedly written over the course of eight years, "but didn’t find their fully realized form until the songwriter moved from his native Seattle down to Los Angeles," according to a press release.
"Limited" touring will follow the release of the album.
