The six choirs of the Salt Lake Choral Artists are holding auditions for their 2012-2013 concert and touring season.

This year’s season will feature music ranging from music in memory of the Titanic to jazz music by Duke Ellington, along with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Morten Lauridsen and Handel thown in.

Members of all the adult choirs will have the opportunity to travel to Israel in January, and the newly-formed Men’s Choir will travel to France. The Salt Lake Vocal Artists will travel to Bulgaria in May.

Auditions will be held from August 2-20.

All voice parts welcome, but tenors and basses are especially encouraged to audition for the Men’s Choir.

To schedule an audition for the Concert, Chamber, Women’s, or Men’s Choir or the Salt Lake Vocal Artists, contact audition coordinator Lee Pratt via email (auditions@saltlakechoralartists.org) or phone (801-556-3216 or 435-783-2749).

Young singers interested in joining the Young Choral Artists should contact John Walker (john.walker@saltlakechoralartists.org) or Joan Brinton (joan.brinton@saltlakechoralartists.org).

Visit the Salt Lake Choral Artists homepage (www.saltlakechoralartists.org) for more information.
