If you have long dreamed of being up in the Choir loft singing "Come, Thou Fount," now is your chance to audition for a place in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.The audition cycle opened July 1 and concludes at midnight on August 15. Completed applications also require a tape or CD. Personal deliveries to the Choir office are not permitted due to security regulations, so make sure to get them postmarked by the deadline.Candidates must be between 25 and 55 years old, live within a 100-mile radius of Temple Square and be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing.Those who complete the full audition cycle will be accepted into the Temple Square Chorale and complete a 16-week training school before final acceptance into the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.Applicants who miss this window will have to wait until July 2013 for another opportunity to join.
