Here are some live music events for tonight, Wednesday, June 27:

Tycho

Spotlight show • Scott Hansen is known as ISO50 for his photographic and design works, but when it comes time to create and perform music, he’s known as Tycho. Music came late to the San Franciscan, he said in a phone interview. "I don’t come from a musical family," he said. "Drawing was my outlet." But when he was 21, he procured a drum machine and synthesizer and began fashioning ambient, layered techno music that explores and unfolds rather than hitting listeners with a sledgehammer. As you might expect, visuals at a Tycho show are much more considered than the average band’s set design. "I’ve never seen the difference between the two," he said of visuals and audio. "It brings another dimension to a live experience." Tycho hasn’t performed in Utah before, but many Utahns count themselves as fans to his rock-star status in the graphic-design scene. "If you’re into [my] design, you’ll be into the music," Tyhco said. "Music is a more pure expression of the vision. I don’t have the visual talent to put emotion [into visuals]."
