Last night's "American Idol" finale kicked off with John Fogerty joining "American Idol" winner Dave Matthews to sing two of Fogerty's hits "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" followed by "Bad Moon Rising."

Did I say Dave Matthews? Sorry, Phillip Phillips. Click here to see the performance: http://vimeo.com/42782717. Fogerty's surprise performance on the 11th season finale comes in the midst of his recording his upcoming new album "Wrote a Song for Everyone," which features a collection of classic hits as well as new songs performed alongside some of music's biggest superstars - Foo Fighters, Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Bob Segar, Miranda Lambert, My Morning Jacket and more. The album will be released in the fall on Vanguard Records. Fogerty will perform at Deer Valley in late June.
