For about a month now, I have been asking scores of musicians what they first concerts were, for a future story. (Go ahead, scoop me.)

My first concert was relatively late in life. It was Lollapalloza 1993, and besides Tool, Arrested Development, Fishbone, Alice in Chains and Primus, there was the best band of that particular hot in Indio, California, Rage Against the Machine. They opened the entire day, and no one came close to matching their intensity, and it was quite impressive to a 16-year-old.
