Webby Awards announce the best of the best websites in music

Today, The Webby Awards announced the best of the best websites, online film and videos, and Apps across the web.

This year, Bjork won the special achievement honor for the Webby Artist of the Year Award for her "Biophilia" album, which has been called the world’s first "app album."

Digital music service Spotify took the Webby Award in the Best Mobile/Application category.

Other music industry winners include Google Music, which won both The Webby Award and The People’s Voice Award in the Best Corporate Communications Website, and The Creator’s Project, the arts and technology initiative created by Intel and Vice, who also won both awards in the category of Best Music For Online Film and Video.

The star-studded 16th Annual Webby Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, May 21 at The Hammerstein Ballroom. The show, hosted by Patton Oswalt, will be live streamed on www.webbyawards.com at 3:30 p.m. MT.
