Young Dubliners are tonight.Spotlight show • The California-based Celtic rock band, a frequent guest in Utah, brings its annual St. Patrick's Day celebration to The Depot. This time, the show isn't on a Saturday, as is customary, but on a Thursday. "Everyone should prepare to call in sick the next day," said the band's founder and leader, Keith Roberts, in an interview. Roberts, a native of Dublin, and his band are readying a new album that will be self-financed through the pledge system, although all of the $2,500 pledges are spoken for. Now that the band is independent, Roberts said, it doesn't worry about angering the label by performing new songs before they are released officially, so the Young Dubliners plan on playing feisty originals. As for the rest of the year, the band plans a trip to Belfast and Northern Ireland in November. But before that, it will be at The Gallivan Center for an Irish music festival on May 26.
