Need another idea of what to do on St. Patrick's Day?

The first Saints & Sinners Ball will be presented by Park City Performing Arts Foundation and hosted by St. Regis Deer Valley on Saturday, March 17. (Organizers hope it will become an annual event.)

Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite Saint or Sinner, but it is not required.

From a press release:

The festive evening of dinner and shenanigans is a benefit for PCPAF's Student Outreach programs, bringing performers and filmmakers into area classrooms for more than 15 years, at no cost to schools or students, but at a cost to PCPAF of $1-million since its inception. From the time Bill Cosby kicked off its first, free student outreach event in 1998, PCPAF has made educational and community workshops, talks, master classes, theater tech programs and shows a core part of what they do. Recent outreach opportunities of note include actor-cum-singer/songwriter Jeff Daniels speaking one-on-one with theater students, fiddle virtuoso Natalie MacMaster conducting a master class for orchestra students, acting legend Ed Asner regaling AP Government students with stories ranging from McCarthyism to controversy over him sending aid to El Salvador, and world famous dance company Pilobolus hosting a master class for local dance students.

The merriment will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by a signature St. Regis Deer Valley dinner, and a not-to-be-missed live auction, featuring unsurpassed experiences unavailable elsewhere, including:

* Exclusive one year membership in the Deer Crest Club at the St. Regis Deer Valley,

including ski locker, golf/ski privileges and all full membership benefits.

* A three night stay at the Montage Laguna Beach, including massages, dinner and an ocean

view room.

* Custom Sundance Film Festival package for two, exclusively at the Eccles Center, with

Reserved Seats. Yes, this includes parking.

The evening's host will be artist Sean Diediker.

Tickets are $150 per person, and include dinner and beverages. To purchase tickets, or for more information, call 435-655-8252, or visit www.ecclescenter.org.

By the way, here are some upcoming events to be presented by PCPAF at Park City's Eccles Center:

Los Lonely Boys - March 10, 2012

Jeff Corwin's "Tales from the Field" - March 24, 2012

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet - April 7, 2012
