The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.

The band features outstanding students from over 20 high schools in Utah, Arizona and Nevada. The students are nominated by their band directors and selected by SUU’s Dr. Thomas Herb, Associate Professor of Music Education, and Dr. Douglas Harris, Director of Bands at SUU.

The student musicians come to campus for intense day-long clinics and rehearsals for the Saturday evening concert.

The program for the free concert will include seven selections including "Geometrics No. 1" by Martin Mailman, "Cenotaph" by Jack Stamp, and"Ye Banks and Braes" by Percy Grainger.
