>On Feb. 1, during the Utah Wind Symphony's second concert of the season, three brass-playing brothers will play together for the first time.
Two of the brothers – Kenneth and Zachery Crawford, who perform with the UWS – will be united with their older brother and special guest artist Frank Crawford, Jr., from "The President's Own" United States Marine Band – for the 7:30 p.m. concert featuring Respighi's "Pines of Rome," "Slalom" by Carter Pann and Martin Ellerby's Tuba Concerto.
As a bonus, their sister Rachel, an organ performance music student at BYU, will be in the audience watching the concert. The concert will be held at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 West Broadway, in Salt Lake City.

The three brothers grew up in northern Michigan and all graduated from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy, winner of the National Medal of Arts, the nation's highest honor for artistic excellence. Frank Jr. studied the tuba, Kenneth studied the euphonium – a tenor-voiced brass instrument that resembles a smaller tuba – and Zachery, studied the brass trombone.Kenneth lives in Utah with his wife and family where he is an ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician. Zachery lives in Provo, Utah with his wife and child, and plays with Utah Wind Symphony, the Orchestra at Temple Square, frequently subs with Utah Symphony, and maintains a private teaching studio.
