The Utah Reggae Festival will be held July 16 through July 17 at the Ogden Amphitheater, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

On Saturday, the performers will be: The Dirty Heads (above), Supervillians, The Codi Jordan Band, Sober Down and Funk & Gonzo. (Obviously a surf/rock/reggae day.)

On Sunday, the performers will be The Tosh Meets Marley Celebration Tour with Fully Fullwood, Tony Chin and other greats from the original bands, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Patwa, Wasnatch and more

Tickets will be $15 in advance, $20 day of, and about 240 "VIP/reserved seats" that include special parking, a VIP tent, etc. Tickets will become available around May 24 at Ticketcake and Aztec Highway stores.

All parking is free.

That's not all.

On July 31, Guinness will present the 2nd Annual Utah Irish Music Festival. Last year's event had almost 300 at Deer Valley.

It will be the same hours and pricing as the reggae festival, and scheduled performers include the Young Dubliners, Slaymaker Hill, Swagger, and The Wild Celts, the top Irish band in Las Vegas, making their first appearance in Utah.

The Crawford School of Irish Dance, the hit of last year's event, will also be on hand.
