Celebrity chefs at Sundance

Several celebrity chefs will be in Park City this weekend, preparing private dinners for the actors, directors and producers attending the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Award-winning Los Angeles chef Susan Feniger, the owner of STREET and Border Grills, will be in town for a filmmakers dinner. Feniger, who competed on Season 2 of "Top Chef Masters," is one half of the popular female cooking team known as the "Too Hot Tamales" with longtime business partner Mary Sue Milliken.

Whitney Miller, winner of the first season of "Masterchef," and Chef Marcel Vigneron, the runner-up on the second season of "Top Chef," will be cooking at this year’s edition of ChefDance. Miller will kick off the five-night event Friday in the basement of the old Harry O’s by preparing dinner for the cast and crew of "Sound City with David Grohl," "We Are What We Are" and "Touchy Feely."

Other chefs, on the ChefDance roster include: Jarvier Placencia, considered the best chef in Tijuana; Shawn McClain, a James Beard Chef from Chicago; and Shawn Armstrong, chef at the Montage Deer Valley.

Finally, Bill Reilly, chef de cuisine of the Hearth restaurant at Park City’s Promontory resort, is not a celebrity chef. But he is paying tribute to "Big Night," the award-winning film featured at the Festival in 1996. On Monday, Reilly will re-create the "timpano," a drum-shaped, layered baked pasta marvel that was prepared by Chef Primo (Tony Shalhoub’s character) in the popular food film.
