For anyone who has always dreamed of watching "Cupcake Wars" live, here’s your chance.
Westminster College will host a student "Cupcake Wars" competition on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Shaw Center, 1840 S. 1300 East, Salt Lake City. Admission is free.
Four student teams will beat, whip, and frost cupcake concoctions based on a surprise theme and mystery ingredient. The cupcakes will be judged on creativity, taste and appearances.
Judges include Helen Hodgson, Westminster communication professor and resident foodie, Tom Woodbury, local television cook; and Leslie Fiet, owner of Mini’s Cupcakes and the $10,000 winner of a real episode of "Cupcake Wars" on The Food Network.
The winning team will receive a gift card to Mini’s.
