The annual Woktoberfest celebration starts today Monday, Oct. 15, at the Mandarin in Bountiful.

During this annual celebration — a twist on German Oktoberfest — the popular Bountiful restaurant offers more than a dozen different menu items in half-size portions for about the half the cost. These small plate prices range from $1.49 to $6.99 and are good for dine in customers only.

Some of the dishes available in small portions include: Bon Bon Chicken, Szechwan Chicken Wings, Zesty Orange Sesame Shrimp, Tea Cup of Hot and Sour Soup, Tea Cup of Chicken Creamed Corn Soup, Pepper Shrimp, Coconut Thai Shrimp, Mongolian Pork, Pork with Garlic Sauce, Kung Pao Chicken, Satay Chicken Noodles, Hunan Beef, Eight Treasure Vegetable and Eggplant with Garlic Sauce.

Even a few of the Mandarin's popular desserts are available in smaller portions including Chocolate Fallen Angel Cake with Orange-Ginger Ice Cream and pumpkin Bread Pudding with Saigon Cinnamon Pepitas and Bourbon Butter Sauce.
