St. George wins Walmart grant to fight hunger

The city of St. George took one of the top spots in Walmart’s "Fighting Hunger Together" Facebook campaign and now will receive a $50,000 grant to help fight hunger, officials announed Wednesday.
The southern Utah city received more than 13,000 online votes during the contest which ran from April 9- 30.
For the contest, Walmart selected the 200 U.S. communitieswith the highest rates of unemployment and asked people to vote for the most deserving. In all, more than 396,000 votes were cast.
