Three more Utah State seniors are headed to postseason exhibition as they look to further their football careers.

Wideout Matt Austin, linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu and defensive lineman Al Lapuaho will play in the Jan. 11 Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game in Tuscon, Ariz. The game will be on ESPN3, scheduled for a 7 p.m., according to a school news release.

It's a continuation of a positive trend for Utah State football players: They're getting invites to these exhibitions. Corner Will Davis will be in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 26, and running back Kerwynn Williams will be in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 19. Both of them have been invited to the NFL Combine.

While Austin, Filimoeatu and Lapuaho have less robust pro profiles, each still harbors NFL dreams. Senior games represent a chance for the trio to show they can stand out among their peers, and possibly sneak onto an NFL roster this summer.

This year, having Robert Turbin and Bobby Wagner playing in the NFL was a huge affirmation for the Aggies football program and provides a recruiting draw. If Utah State can keep producing NFL-caliber prospects, it helps build a self-sustaining pipeline of talent.

You can bet that's one tradition that new coach Matt Wells wants to keep going.

• Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman obtained a copy of Boise State's deal with the Mountain West. It appears the conference will pay up to $3 million of the school's $10 million exit fee from the Big East, the conference it never actually entered (sigh): http://bit.ly/UGNFhY

• CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd points out that Boise State's contract is the surest sign yet that San Diego State will be first in line to join the Mountain West, that is, if the Aztecs want to come back. Part of the deal is that SDSU gets the first option to join the league: http://cbsprt.co/VwadCK
