"It hurt," said Bobby Wagner

"It was disappointing," said Kellen Bartlett

They were both talking about the crowd, which thinned noticeable on Saturday in a 45-7 loss to Hawaii.

It started at 17,111....by halftime it was half that....by the start of the second half, there were maybe 2,000 there, and a good chunk of them were Hawaii fans.

"We were thinking what happened to our support?" Bartlett said.

I have to agree with him. At the time, the score was 14-7. The Aggies were still very much in the game, very much in need of their fan base.

They didn't get it.

Yes, it was raining. Yes, it was cold, and yes, it looked, even with the touchdown advantage, that Hawaii was by far the better team.

But the game wasn't over. The Warriors blitz hadn't happened yet, and Hawaii hadn't took over yet.

That the players were so eager to speak their minds on the issue afterwards shows how much it affected them. And I have to agree. I could see if it were a five touchdown game, but one score? C'mon....Aggie fans needed to support their team, and they didn't.

That, to me, was disappointing to say the least.
