Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Sundance just got busier.

The star of "Looper" and "The Dark Knight Rises" has been picked to emcee the closing-night awards ceremony for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, festival organizers announced today.

Gordon-Levitt is making his directorial debut at Sundance this year, with the drama "Don Jon's Addiction," in which he also stars. He's been a regular fixture at Sundance, having brought his crowd-sourced film experience hitRECord.org to the festival twice – as well as starring in such Sundance films as "(500) Days of Summer," "Brick," "Hesher" and "Mysterious Skin."

(If you really want to go waaaay back in Gordon-Levitt's connections to Sundance, as a child actor he appeared in Robert Redford's "A River Runs Through It" as the young Norman Maclean.)

The awards ceremony happens Jan. 26 in Park City. The festival runs Jan. 17-26.
