Havili, Hawaii, and the game that really could have used some defense

Don't know how many of you stayed up late enough to watch USC's offense play Hawaii last night (the airline apparently lost the Trojans' defense), but as has been the case with any USC game over the last four seasons, there was a Utah connection on display.

Cottonwood alum Stanley Havili was his dependable, fearsome self, making his mark on a 49-yard pass play that set up a Trojans touchdown. Havili also rushed once for 7 yards in the 49-36 game that proved defense is only hard work if you make it.

Havili's big play came on a pass from quarterback Matt Barkley that Havili carried all the way to the 15, just barely getting dragged down when it looked like he might break into the end zone. Relive the moment, courtesy of YouTube, on the above video at about the 1:50 mark.
