• Ska/punk band Streetlight Manifesto performs at the Murray Theater, 4959 S. State St., Murray. Opening acts: Mike Park, Dan Potthast. Show starts at 6:30. Tickets are $20, at Smith's Tix.

• Rapper Hoodie Allen performs at The Complex, 536 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: OCD: Moosh & Twist, Mod Sun, D-Why. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $25, at Smith's Tix.

• The Utah Symphony performs its Halloween concert, this year called "A Superhero Halloween," at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Vladimir Kulenovic conducts the all-ages show. The concert starts at 7. A costume contest starts at 5:30 in the lobby. Tickets, from $10 to $22, at ArtTix. (Kids under 3 can get in free, but you must get tickets in advance.)

• English music legend Dave Mason — known as a co-founder of Traffic, and for his collaborations with Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix and others — performs with his band at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $42, at the venue's website.

• Funk/punk/metal/rock band Living Colour, on tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its groundbreaking album "Vivid," performs at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $22, at Smith's Tix.

• Alt-country band Deer Tick performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Robert Ellis. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $20, at 24Tix.
