A leader in Utah's theater scene received a big honor for her Broadway work.

Karen Azenberg, artistic director of Pioneer Theatre Company, was among the honorees Tuesday at the fifth annual Broadway Salutes ceremony. The event, held at the Times Square Visitor Center in New York, is presented by The Broadway League and the Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds.

Azenberg was honored for 25 years of work in the Broadway community. Her first Broadway credit was working on Athol Fugard's "Master Harold ... and the Boys" in 1983.
