This week's Utah Crowd-Funding campaign is asking people to empty their wallets to make more wallets. And belts. And briefcases.

Scott Rawlings of Salt Lake City is seeking pledges for $13,000 by Monday, Sept. 30, on Kickstarter for his leather-goods business, Fullgive Leather.

Rawlings has been in business for five years, and wants to take Fullgive to the next level. That requires buying 1,600 square feet of higher-quality American-made vegetable-tan leather, and (with whatever's left over) a second sewing machine.

Benefits range from a slim wallet (for a $35 pledge) to a Frenchie briefcase (for a $599 pledge).

So far, with six days to go, Rawlings is well on his way — having received $10,860 in pledges toward his $13,000 goal.
