• David Mamet's new play, "The Anarchist," won't last long on Broadway. It will close Dec. 16, after playing less than a month. One can imagine the four-letter words Mamet uttered when he heard the news. [The New York Times]

• Who's excited for next May's "Star Trek Into Darkness" after seeing the teaser trailer online? A show of hands, please. (If you raised your hands in the Spock salute, you're really excited.) [Entertainment Weekly]
