Center Kyrylo Fesenko is expected to agree to terms with the Utah Jazz if he does not have a multi-year offer from another NBA team in place by Sunday.

Houston is interested in Fesenko, and there are ongoing discussions between the sides. But the Rockets are primarily pursuing free-agent center Erick Dampier, who has spent the week deciding between several teams for his new destination. It was reported by the Miami Herald on Friday that Dampier would not sign with the Heat.

No matter what Houston decides, Fesenko does not want to miss the start of training camp. As a result, he will likely accept a long-standing one-year, $1 million qualifying offer with the Jazz or make a final push for a multi-year deal with the team, if the Rockets do not soon tender an offer sheet.
