The Utah Jazz are optimistic that center Kyrylo Fesenko will be with the team when training camp starts in late September, sources said Friday.

The Jazz have an outstanding contract offer to Fesenko that is still on the table. Whether or not the third-year center from Ukraine decides to accept the deal is in the hands of his camp. Utah prefers to have the situation resolved before training camp begins, though, and the team could press harder for Fesenko to make a decision during the next two weeks.

The Jazz could also add another Franciso Elson-type contract before camp starts. However, the team will more likely choose to have lesser-known players compete for the few remaining open roster spots.
