It is easy to get lost in all the preseason awards that BYU guard Jimmer Fredette has been garnering. But the latest one is really significant. Fredette has been named to the Associated Press preseason men's basketball All-America team. The team, picked by a 65-member media panel, also includes North Carolina's Harrison Barnes, Duke's Kyle Singler, Kansas State's Jacob Pullen and JaJuan Johnson of Purdue. Fredette got 49 votes. The 6-foot-2 senior guard averaged 22.1 points, 4.7 assists and shot 45.8 percent from three-point range last season. Fredette was an honorable mention All-American at the end of last season.
