Here's a look at them from a recent photo shoot starring Jimmer Fredette and Charles Abouo. * How much does Fredette mean to the town of Glens Falls, N.Y.? Here's an interesting and well-done column about the town's love affair with Jimmer. It's a good read and worth the time. * Here's another NFL mock draft that says BYU offensive tackle Matt Reynolds — if he decides to turn pro early — could be a first-round pick. * Jordan Chatman, son of former BYU basketball star Jeff Chatman, will be a junior this season at a high school in northern Washington. Here's a YouTube look at some of his highlights from last summer. Chatman has an offer from BYU, Utah State, and others. * Standing-room tickets to the Jimmer Game have been released, according to this blog in an Albany newspaper.———————————— He is an injury away from being the starting quarterback at BYU, after starting the season No. 3 on the depth chart. What does James Lark think of that? Some leftover comments from the former Pine View (St. George) High star from Tuesday's interview after it was announced that Riley Nelson is out for the season with shoulder issues:On his mindset now: "I am going to come out and do my best with every opportunity that I get. I mean, Riley has played great this year. I feel bad that it had to end like this this season for him, but he's a tough guy. He will be just fine." On whether his own preparation changes: "I mean, I have always prepared myself every game to be ready to play no matter what. I don't plan on changing anything." On whether he got more reps in practice: "Today during team period I didn't get any [reps]. I had to do a little more in all the other drills and stuff. I am not sure how things are going to go. That is up to the coaches. So we will see from here." On his first thought when he heard Nelson was finished: "I knew my role would go up to the backup quarterback. My thoughts were just to get ready to play. I mean, nothing really more than that." On whether it was Nelson's call to go ahead with the surgery: "I am not quite sure. That's probably something that you have to ask Riley. He probably thought a lot about it with some people he's close to, and sort of figured it out. But you gotta ask him." On when he knew Nelson was hurt: "I saw him come off a little banged up. But I didn't know it was this serious." On whether Nelson complained about shoulder pain: "No. Riley is a tough kid. You don't hear him complain, ever." On whether he's ready to be the starter if Heaps gets hurt: "If the opportunity comes, I will be ready. I mean, I have prepared as hard as I could, and we will see what happens if that opportunity comes."
