The Salt Lake Symphony will present their annual Family Concert on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at Libby Gardner Concert Hall on Presidents Circle on the University of Utah campus.
Admission to the family concert is $10 for adults and $3 for students, seniors, and kids.
Tickets are available in advance at 801-792-1313 or at the door with cash, check or credit card. The theme is "Mechanized Musical Magic," which does not include any music from Lor Reed.
Led by music director and conductor Robert Baldwin, the orchestra will perform pieces that pay homage to mechanized ways of moving from once place to another: the fourth movement of Rossini's "William Tell Overture," Honneger's "Pacific 231," Rodgers' "Carousel Waltz," Newman's "The Big Race" from the movie "Cars," Adams's "Short Ride in a Fast Machine," and more.
All ages are welcome.
