Accordoing to city officials:
The Lower Lights is a hymn revival project founded by local record producer, Scott Wiley. The group, composed of Utah's best local musicians, convened in 2009 and for five days dove into the familiar and overlooked hymns with the goal to revive these beautiful old songs and connect them to musician's and listener's personal experiences. Part-revival, part-vigil, The Lower Lights project resulted in a collection of 30-plus recorded songs and a new collective of local talent. Kendrick is supporting this concert series because she believes it will be an important part of Provo's history and is an opportunity to showcase Provo's best talent. "Having worked with The Lower Lights both in the studio and in a concert forum, I am beyond thrilled to have them perform at our concert series," says Kendrick. "With the incredible talent and the gorgeous venue, it's going to be an unforgettable nighta perfect way to start an enjoyable weekend. I look forward to sharing this special event with the community." For more information about the event visit http://www.rooftopconcertseries.com
