MTV announced today that the cast of "Jersey Shore" will present an award live at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12. Additionally, the cast of "Glee," including Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Amber Riley will also be on hand to present on Sunday.
Other presenters include Ellen DeGeneres (who will tape an episode of her show at the VMAs), Cher (above), Katy Perry, "Star Trek" star Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson and the cast of "Jackass." Before the VMAs kick off, "Hills" star and newly named "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Audrina Patridge will be the official MTV International "2010 MTV Video Music Awards" red-carpet guest correspondent. Hosted by Chelsea Handler, the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Fans can go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for Best New Artist from now through September 12.
