Brave eaters will take on the spiciest, fieriest or most massive mounds of food in Salt Lake City during the "Big Hot Raw Food Challenge" Saturday, Oct. 2 at The Olympus Hills Shopping Center, 3900 S. Wasatch Blvd.

The event features three food challenges, a la the popular Travel Channel show "Man vs. Food."

At 12:30 p.m. watch as 10 contestants try to eat Rocky Mountain Pizza's massive "Mountain Pizza."

At 1:30 p.m., another 10 contestants will take on the super spicy "Level 11" at the Wing Coop.

And at 2:30 p.m., the challenge moves to Kobe Sushi where brave souls will try to eat the six-piece "Hell Fire Challenge," which was featured on this episode of "Man vs. Food." It is made with spicy tuna, hot kaiwara sprouts, jalapeƱo peppers and a concentrated paste that owner Alex Chang makes by cooking four of the world's hottest peppers.

If you want to be part of the competition, register at each individual restaurant. Cost is $15 fee. Winners of each challenge get $100.

In addition to the food challenges, the mall is sponsoring a car show and giving away prizes including a bike and skies between noon and 4 p.m.
