We'll be seeing more of Utah native Kelsey Nixon.

The perky blonde, who made it all the way to 4th place a few years ago on "The Next Food Network Star," has a new show on the recently launched Cooking Channel.

The cable television show is called "Kelsey's Essentials" and it premiers Nov. 6. Nixon will give tips on must-have pantry items, useful gadgets and basic cooking techniques from roasting to baking.

"The show concept is something I believe in 100% and I can't wait to start sharing," she told followers of her blog, kelseyskitchen.blogspot.com

It's a dream come true for Nixon (who happened to be an intern in The Tribune food department before her gig on "Food Network Star.")

"It's a crazy feeling to be included in a lineup with names like Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, and Mark Bittman," she said.
