If you haven't noticed, Confetti's at 4751 South Holladay Blvd., has been closed while owners Raouf and Layla Tadros reinvent the restaurant.
Next week the couple, along with their three children Liz, Tony and Tania, will reopen as Layla Mediterranean Grill and Mezze with a menu that goes back to the couple's Egyptian and Lebanese roots.
As the name suggests, the menu will include a variety of hot and cold dishes meant to be shared. Many of Layla's family recipes will be part of the menu including the beef and chicken shawarma, the warak malfouf (stuffed cabbage leaves) and hummus.
(The menu will include a few of the favorites from Confetti.)
New York designer Jason Moses, a family friend and former employee, helped the Tadros' redesign the space. It now includes a formal dining area and as well as casual bistro-like seating with high tables and a full-service bar. The space includes rustic wood floors and contemporary colors with natural lighting. The restaurant also has a patio for outdoor dining.
According to the website, laylagrill.com, it will be will be open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner.
