From Brighton to West Point, a feast of Utah fireworks

Because the Fourth of July falls on a Tuesday this year, you could watch fireworks somewhere in Utah on Saturday, Monday and the holiday itself. Here's a list of festivities around the state.

Brighton - Tuesday: breakast, live music and parade, beginning at top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, 7:30 a.m.; $5-$7, proceeds donated to charity. Cedar City - Tuesday: downtown parade, 10 a.m.; activities at Cedar City Park; fireworks at dusk. Clearfield - Tuesday: 5K run/2-mile walk at 7 a.m., 55 S. State St.; activities at Fisher Park include an emergency-preparedness fair from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; rides, entertainment, 11 a.m. to sundown; "Annie Warbucks" at the Bicentennial Park Amphitheatre, 7:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Centerville - Monday: children's parade, 6:30 p.m.; free concert in Founder's Park with the Joe Muscolino Band, 8 to 10 p.m.; fireworks, 9:45 p.m.; Tuesday: breakfast in the park, 7 a.m.; 5K run and children's races, 7 a.m.; parade on Main Street, 9 a.m.; art exhibit, quilt display, outdoor festival and entertainment, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; police auction at Founder's Park, 1 p.m. Delta - Tuesday: parade, talent show, games, booths, demolition derby and fireworks at dusk. East Millcreek - Tuesday: pancake breakfast, 7 a.m.; parade at 2700 E. Evergreen Ave., 9 a.m.; flag ceremony followed by entertainment, 10 a.m.; bring blankets or lawn chairs. Farr West - Tuesday: activities at Farr West park include a 5K run and parade in the morning, booths, children's races and a volleyball tournament; Greek souvlaki dinner, 5 to 8 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Gunnison - Monday: community dinner, entertainment, auction, youth dance and fireworks; Tuesday: parade with games, food and a car show at the city park. Hyrum - Today: concert in the park, 8 p.m.; fireworks at 10 p.m. followed by a youth dance at the Elite Hall, 10:30 p.m. to midnight; Saturday: youth parade at the city square, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday: patriotic program at 7 p.m. with music by the Imperial Glee Club and guest speaker Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff; Tuesday: freedom run at the Blacksmith Fork Power Plant, 6:15 a.m.; parade at noon; booths, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; entertainment, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Hyrum Hornets baseball game at East Park, 7 p.m. Kanarraville - Tuesday: parade at Cobble Crest, 10 a.m.; patriotic program, 10:30 a.m.; sports, 5 p.m.; Family Night in the Park, 8 p.m. Kaysville - Sunday: patriotic devotional in the Davis High School auditorium with U.S. Rep. Rob Bishop, 7 p.m.; Tuesday: 5K and 10K runs at the Davis High football stadium, 7:30 a.m.; parade, 11 a.m.; booths, noon to 9 p.m.; fireworks near Davis High and the DATC, 10 p.m. "Sound of Music," Davis High auditorium, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 2 p.m. Layton - Tuesday: breakfast, festivities, games, rides, parade, a symphony and fireworks at dusk. Lehi - Tuesday: concessions at Electric Park begin at 7 p.m. with live entertainment at 8 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Logan - Monday: "Imagine," a program commemorating the Beatles, Utah State University Romney Stadium, 8:30 p.m.; fireworks at dusk; tickets are $6, $2 for children 12 and under. Magna - Saturday: carnival, noon to 11 p.m.; Keith Hill Golf Tournament, 8:30 a.m.; Sunday: carnival, noon to 11 p.m.; Gus Paulos Memorial Car Show, Copper Park, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday: carnival, noon to 11 p.m.; Tuesday: 5K run/walk, 7 a.m.; Magnatude Parade, 12:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Manti - Today: Miss Fourth of July Pageant, 7 p.m.; Monday: Independence Day Parade, 7 p.m.; free movie at Manti City Park at dusk; Tuesday: events at the park, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; entertainment at the Manti High School football stadium, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. Mt. Pleasant - Tuesday: fun walk and breakfast, 7 a.m.; golf tournament, 8 a.m.; mountain man rendezvous all day; children's parade, 10 a.m.; entertainment throughout the day; fireworks, 10 p.m. Murray - Tuesday: Lion's Club Community Breakfast, 6:30 a.m.; sunrise service at Murray Park Amphitheater, 7 a.m.; 5K race at the Murray Park west entrance, 8 a.m.; parade starting at Fashion Place Mall, 8:30 a.m.; food booths and activities in the Murray Park Gazebo begin at 11 a.m.; The Insatiables, Jamaican ska and reggae, Murray Park softball field, 8:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Nephi - Tuesday: carnival, breakfast, dinner, activities and entertainment at the city park all day; fireworks at the Juab High School football field at dusk. North Ogden - Tuesday: 5K run/walk at the IHC health center, 7 a.m.; all-day activities at North Ogden Park include Dutch oven cookoff, 8 a.m.; Cherry Days children's parade, 9:30 a.m.; Cherry Days Parade, 10 a.m.; fireworks at the Weber High School football stadium at dark. North Salt Lake - Saturday: 5K run/walk at Hatch Park, 50 W. Center St., 7 a.m.; Monday: activities at Eaglewood Golf Course, 6 to 10 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. Paragonah - Tuesday: patriotic program at 10 a.m., followed by lunch and games. Provo - Freedom Festival, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday; Saturday: children's parade, 10:30 a.m.; Stadium of Fire, 7:30 p.m., with headliners Lee Ann Womack, "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks, U.S. Army Golden Knights, who will skydive into Lavell Edwards Stadium, and fireworks choreographed to music, $20 to $50; Monday and Tuesday: "Freedom of the Press" exhibit in honor of Benjamin Franklin's 300th birthday, Crandall Historical Printing Museum, 275 E. Riverton - Saturday: demolition derby at the Riverton Rodeo Arena, 7 p.m.; Monday: parade, 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday: Country Mile 10K and fun run, 7 a.m.; Tour de Riverton bike ride, 7:30 a.m.; all-day entertainment at the Round Pavilion starting at 10 a.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Sandy - Tuesday: 5K and 10K run, 7 a.m.; Radio Disney youth arts festival, rides, games, food and vendors, local entertainment throughout the day starting at 9 a.m.; parade, 6 p.m.; concert with The Great Basin Street Band and Simple People, 7:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Salt Lake City - Tuesday: Sugar House Arts Festival, fireworks at Sugar House Park at dark; "Old Fashioned" Fourth of July at Jordan Park, 1060 S. 900 West, 5 to 10:30 p.m., with free admission, food and vendor booths and activities, and a screening of "Madagascar" at 9 p.m., followed by fireworks; Salt Lake Bees play Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Franklin Covey Field with fireworks after the game; Real Salt Lake plays Chivas USA at Rice-Eccles Stadium with fireworks after the game. South Salt Lake - Tuesday: food, crafts, exhibits, puppet shows, treats and music, Pioneer Craft House, 3271 S. 500 East, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; free. Taylorsville - Saturday: Taylorsville Dayzz includes a carnival, car show, entertainment, food and craft booths, 11 a.m.; free concert with the West Valley Symphony and Wasatch Mountain Cannoneers, 8:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m. Torrey - Friday: Little Miss Apple Days pageant at the Performing Arts Building, Bicknell; Saturday: breakfast at Torrey Park pavilion, 7 a.m.; art sale and show at Big Apple on Main Street, 8 a.m.; parade, 10 a.m.; little apple race at the post ofice on Main Street, 6 p.m.; Big Apple Dance, 8 p.m. Tropic - Tuesday: breakfast, 7 a.m.; children's parade, 10 a.m.; patriotic program, 10:30 a.m.; carnival at the town park, 11 a.m.; fireworks at Ruby's Inn Rodeo Grounds at dusk. West Jordan - West Jordan Stampede & Celebration, Veteran's Memorial Park, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. PRCA Rodeo all three nights at 7; fireworks all three nights with the biggest show on Tuesday. Saturday: free Peter Breinholt concert, with an outdoor screening of "The Goonies." Tuesday: dedication ceremony for the West Jordan Military Service Monument with keynote speakers Sens. Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett at Veterans Memorial Park, 7800 S. 1985 West, 1 p.m.; outdoor screening of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and fireworks at dusk. West Bountiful - Saturday: activities at West Bountiful City Park, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; parade, 6 p.m. West Point - Monday: fireworks at dark; Tuesday: parade, 8:30 a.m., with an F-16 flyover.
