State Women: Cougars rout 'Cats

OGDEN - Ambrosia Anderson scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, Jennie Keele added 17 points and nine rebounds, and Brigham Young improved to 9-1 with a 63-47 win over Weber State on Wednesday night at the Dee Events Center.

Anderson and Keele combined for 14 of the Cougars' 26 baskets.

BYU, after leading 32-26 at the half, outscored the Wildcats (5-5) by 31-21 in the second half.

Sara Tuomi led Weber State with 19 points.

Texas A&M 81, Utah State 55: Tamea Scales scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Takia Starks added 20 points as Texas A&M walked over Utah State in College Station, Texas.

Taylor Richards scored 21 for USU and Lindsay Freeze had 15 as the Aggies dropped to 1-8 on the season.

Utah Valley State 79, Portland 75: Robyn Fairbanks had a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Miriam Palkki added her own double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Wolverines improved to 3-8 by beating Portland in Orem.

Payson-native Sandy Marvin scored 20 points, but shot just 3-for-12 from the field.

SLCC 68, Southern Idaho 65: Alysha Young's double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds helped the Bruins rally from a 15-point deficit to upset CSI in Las Vegas at the Dixie State Holiday Tournament.
