With only one game left in their regular season, it¹s not looking good for the Taylorsville Warriors.
After coming out strong with five wins in a row to start 2008, the Warriors have lost seven of their last ten games and fallen to the second to last spot in Region 2.
Their latest loss came last Friday to Alta, as Taylorsville fell to the Hawks 6-1. The Hawks' scoring bonanza included goals from Richard Harrison, Tim Fitt, Derek Boggs and Sean Patterson as well as a pair of goals from Cory Tanner.
The loss drops the Warriors region record to 2-6-1 and puts them ahead of only Hillcrest in Region 2.
Olympus
After dropping its first region game of the season in overtime last Tuesday, the Olympus soccer team bounced back.
The Titans defeated Cyprus 2-0 Friday, re-establishing their momentum and maintaining their position at the top of Region 6.
Olympus nabbed both of their goals in the first half; one from junior Clay Broadbent and another from Ian Gillette. Gillette's goal was his first of the season and makes him the ninth Titan to have scored for the squad this year.
With their victory over Cyprus, the Titans have put a lock on their position as the best team in Region 6 and have a comfortable two game lead over their nearest competition East. The

Brighton
Brighton made it three wins in a row last Friday with a decisive 3-0 victory over Skyline.
The Bengals came out swinging, taking the lead in the first half with a goal from Bryce Stockman. The success continued in the second half as Stockman scored again, followed by teammate Taylor Peay. Stockman's pair of goals raises his season total to six and makes him one of Brighton's more potent offensive weapons.
Working hard for the Bengals on D was veteran keeper Patxi Shortsleeve. Shortsleeve got his fifth shutout of the year and even managed to render Skyline's leading scorer Nils Lofgren helpless.
Brighton's win was their seventh shutout of the season and brings its record to 7-2, putting the Bengals into a tie with current Region 2 leader Jordan.
