It happened in the locker room at halftime.
"I really chewed them out," coach James Cordova said.
That brief showcase of anger from their coach made all the difference for the Bulldogs, who rolled to a 41-18 win over Woods Cross on Friday night after two lackluster quarters. The win also showed that Judge is a scoring machine - it has scored 83 points in two games - though Cordova doesn't expect the trend to continue.
But it wasn't the offense that changed the game, though the Bulldogs were only up 14-12 going into the second half. It was the defense that made the difference, with cornerback Keenyn Walker and defensive end AJ Carman standing out.
Carman finished with three sacks, while Walker had three interceptions. Walker's first pick really started the rally, as he intercepted a Jordan Smith pass for a 19-yard touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 26-12 three minutes into the second half.
"He can really transform a game," Cordova said. "When he gets the ball in his hands, he does some amazing stuff."
The same could be said about Walker's cousin, Lewis Walker.
Lewis, with his multiple offers from Division I schools, had the Wildcats keying up on him all night. Then again, the senior still managed to score a 35-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter, though as he said, "It should have been two." He was referring to his 48-yard run to Judge's 2-yard line that set up a Bruce Garlinghouse touchdown.
