It took almost all game, but with a poised three-pointer by junior guard Ryan Anderson with less 10 seconds left, Woods Cross finally finished off their biggest victory of the season against undefeated Region 6 leader Bountiful, 51-50.

Woods Cross fought off the pesky outside shooting from Bountiful the entire game, came back from behind in the fourth quarter and barely was able to knot up the score before Anderson hit the shot that he'll remember his whole life.

"It's great. It's something you dream of, and to get the shot to do it, it's a once-in-a-lifetime to thing, so it felt good to hit," said Anderson, who finished with 14 points. "It's a rivalry game, and they have a good team, so it's always good to come away with a win."

It was a tale of two halves for Bountiful. The Braves started out cold, missing their first eight shots from the field, to fall behind quick. But after halftime, the Braves made their first eights shots en route to taking the lead. McKay LaSalle scored 16 of his game-high 21 points in the third quarter.

Wildcats coach Todd Street knew that things we're getting out of hand and he had to get his team back on the right track.

"He [LaSalle] was something else," Street said. "He played well enough to single-handedly win the game. I called time out and said, 'Look, they've made their run. Just settle in and just keep doing what we did to begin with, and we just got to chip away and get back in it.' "

After the Wildcats took advantage of Bountiful playing defensively with a slim lead in the fourth, big shots down the stretch from Austin Bankowski and Mark Evans evened the score at 48-48, and after Anderson got a swing pass from Parker Rose, the rest was history.
